While at HotJobs, I was on the team developing Softshoe, an HR software product, for Unilever, Humana, UPS, Goldman-Sachs, Warburg. HotJobs has their proprietary server-side scripting language which i had to learn and then use to build more functionality into existing sites. I created innovative, time-saving new uses for their parsing language, which had to interact seamlessly with the database and without disrupting the clickstream. Used JavaScript to filter content based on permission level. Wrote form contingency validation in JavaScript.
My main development project at HotJobs was to rewrite the Softshoe product using XSLT transformations to generate the 100+ HTML pages that that were being maintained by hand for 20 or so clients like Pepsi and Pfizer. The goal of the XML project was to greatly reduce the time spent mainaining these sites. A developer would only have to maintain a single core XML file and run the XSLT script and rebiuld the entire site with all the new changes in place.
